Cookie Policy
The website merkle.sk uses only strictly necessary cookies. We do not use analytics, advertising or personalisation cookies.

What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website may store in your browser or on your device. They help provide basic website functions, maintain a user session or remember certain technical settings.
Cookies cannot by themselves run programs or transmit viruses to your device. Their content and purpose depend on the specific website and service used.
Which cookies do we use?
merkle.sk uses one first-party strictly necessary cookie. It is created when you visit the contact page and is required for the secure operation of the form.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Type | Retention period |
|---|---|---|---|---|
merkle_contact |
Merkle s. r. o. merkle.sk |
Contact form session security, protection against unauthorised form submission (CSRF), and display of the submission result directly on the page. | Strictly necessary, first-party cookie | Until the browser session ends |
This cookie does not contain the text of your message or the data entered into the contact form.
Cloudflare Turnstile
On the contact form pages we use Cloudflare Turnstile to protect the site against automated attacks, spam and form abuse. The service is loaded only on /sk/kontakt/ and /en/contact/.
During the security check, Turnstile may process technical signals such as the IP address, TLS fingerprint, User-Agent header, public site key and page origin. These data are used to distinguish legitimate visitors from automated systems and to protect the website.
The Pre-clearance feature is not enabled. This means that Turnstile is
not configured to issue the verification cookie cf_clearance for other
pages of the domain.
Cloudflare states that Turnstile data are not used for advertising retargeting. Further information is available in the Cloudflare Turnstile privacy information ↗.
Why is there no consent banner?
Consent is not required for cookies that are necessary to provide a service requested by the user or to ensure the proper and secure functioning of the website. As we currently do not use analytics, marketing or advertising cookies, visitors do not have any optional categories that would need to be accepted or rejected.
If we introduce non-essential cookies or external marketing or analytics services in the future, we will implement an appropriate consent mechanism before activating them and will update this policy accordingly.
How can you manage cookies?
You can view, delete or block cookies in your browser settings. The exact procedure depends on the browser and device you use.
If you block all cookies, most of merkle.sk will remain accessible, but the contact form may no longer function correctly because it will not be possible to create a secure session and validate the submission.
Legal basis
The storage of the strictly necessary cookie is based on the exception for necessary technical storage and access to information under Section 109(8) of Slovak Act No. 452/2021 Coll. on Electronic Communications.
The related processing of technical data for website security, spam prevention and protection of the contact form is based on our legitimate interest in ensuring the secure and reliable operation of the website under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
For guidance on consent in relation to necessary cookies, you may also consult the guidance of the Personal Data Protection Office of the Slovak Republic ↗ and the current text of Act No. 452/2021 Coll. ↗.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if the technical setup of the website, the services we use or the applicable legal requirements change. The current version will always be published on this page and marked with the date of the latest update.
